This LED Sight is the latest addition from CADtec3D. It brings state of the art technology to give you Accuracy (night and day), Reliability, Safety features with cost effective manufacturing methods.
What does it do and how does it work?
At the opposite end of the LED Sight, there is a 3 position switch as shown above.
The switch can be easily accessed when your gun is mounted but invisible in your field of view.
Pos 1 = Off
Pos 2 = low intensity for Night mode
Pos 3 = High intensity for Day mode

The switch circuit and electronics are totally encapsulated and sealed for life in silicone rubber to protect the parts being subjected to the shock loads of gun fire, dust and water ingress.
Whatever firearm you intend to use the SGS-300 LED Sight on, if it has a Picatinny Rail, you're are good to go!

It effectively has a front and rear alignment mechanism in a single entity. When you see the Sight Picture (a Red, Green or Yellow dot depending on what you order, the target and the barrel are coaxial. If the gun is misaligned (poor gun mount), you will not see the sight picture. You will instinctively correct your gun mount by constantly being aware of the sight picture in your secondary vision.
6. The SGS-300 LED Sight is battery powered and has an extremely long operational use between charges.
7. The SGS-300 has a Picatinny Rail interface with some awesome attributes (please see video below).

1. How the SGS-300 LED Sight solves cross eye dominance instantly.
Well you probably know what that is already but if you are new to shooting, this is a quick introduction and then we will tell you how this Sight solves the issue.
Using a conventional shotgun as an example: If you are right handed you will probably mount the gun on your right shoulder and assuming you are Right Eye Dominant, your Right eye will be aligning the Target and Bead, So Eye + Bead + Target are fully colinear as shown in the image below.
It's the same situation if you are left handed and left Eye dominant. We are also assuming that you are shooting with both eyes open and will explain why that is important for shooting moving targets later.
If the gun is mounted on your right shoulder, and you are left eye dominant, there will be a cross over error amounting to a gross error down range. The reason this happens is that with both eyes open, you actually see two images of the Bead (one image from each eye). The Dominant eye will see a brighter, more pronounced image of the Bead, the non Dominant eye will see a much weaker ghost image of the Bead. Your brain will ignore the weaker image and use the Dominant image. This will result in the situation shown below where as far as the shooter is concerned, the TARGET, the BEAD and the eye are all in line. The brain assumes the gun is in line with what the dominant eye sees. Clearly the gun is aiming at something other than what the brain and eye perceives to be where the fall of shot will be.
With the SGS-300 LED Sight you can shoot with both eyes open from your left or right shoulder. It doesn't matter if you are Left or Right eye dominant. You only see ONE image of the Sight Picture. More importantly, you only see the Sight Picture image from the eye on the side you mount your gun on thus ensuring Eye, Sight picture and Target are all in line. It is physically impossible to see the Sight Picture from the "other eye" or "wrong eye" as the LED is obscured by the Sight Body as shown in the image below.

The error down range happens because of the interpupillary spacing of the eyes. The image above is not to scale but to put it into perspective, on average, the spacing of the eyes are 64mm. The angular error this creates at 30 metres is 1.6 metres. The SGS-300 LED Sight will prevent this from happening. The angle of error was calculated by the interpupillary distance and the distance from the eye to the bead.
Our SGS-300 LED Sight is ambidextrous!
As previously mentioned, it doesn't matter if you are Left or Right eye dominant, you will only see the Sight Picture from the correct eye. The correct eye is the eye nearest to the gun, the complete opposite happens if you mount your gun on the other shoulder!
Some people close an eye when acquiring a target. Most people that know they are cross eye dominant close an eye to ensure Eye, Sight Picture and target are all in line. Yes, it solves the cross eye dominance but you have created 3 other problems to solve the 1st problem and potentially created a dangerous scenario depending on the reason to mount and be ready to fire in the 1st place.
A. If you close an eye you become "monoscopic" in other words you no longer have stereoscopic vision. Without Stereoscopic vision your ability to judge distance is impaired
B. Without Stereoscopic vision your ability to judge speed is impaired
C. If you close an eye half your field of view has disappeared seriously diminishing your peripheral vision which effects situation awareness.
Being able to judge speed and distance is imperative if you want to shoot moving targets. You can not elevate your gun for range or estimate the required aim-off depending on speed effectively without stereoscopic vision.
2. Clarity of Sight picture
With fibre optic sights, you are totally reliant on ambient light to funnel the light through to the ocular end for sighting purposes. On a bright day the Sight picture is bright. On a dull overcast day the Sight Picture is dull. The LED enables the intensity to be consistent Night or Day.
3. Night hunting is now possible without very expensive night vision devices.
Night hunting would be out of the question with a conventional fibre optic Sight. Even with a Tritium generated Sight picture there are limitations.
If you are a night hunter and need improved visibility of your Sight Picture, the difference going from LED from Tritium illumination for rapid acquisition is a game changer.
An important thing to mention about the clarity of the LED Sight Picture is if it is as dull as the image below, and without stating the obvious, you will struggle to see it. The point is, if you are struggling to see it, you will be hard focused on it. That means you are NOT looking at the target. The Target is what you should be hard focused on "all the time". 
If the Sight Picture is as bright as the image below, you will not need to look at it! You just need to be aware of it in your secondary vision. As long as you are aware of the circle of light, you know your gun is accurately aligned with what it is superimposed on. All the time you see a full disc of light you know the axis of the the gun barrel is looking at the same thing as you because the Sight axis and gun barrel axis are co-aligned. It confirms your gun mount. If you do not see the light you need to adjust your gun mount until you do.
4. How the SGS-300 confirms your gun mount
The fibre optic or Bead fitted to most shotguns can be seen all the time from any angle. That means it does not play a part in ensuring your shotgun is aligned correctly. It can't possibly. That is why rifles have a Front and Rear sight to Opto-Mechanically align the gun with target. That ensures the axis of the gun barrel, front sight and rear sight are all co-axial and "looking at the same thing", the Target! The image below shows the TARGET + EYE + BEAD all perfectly aligned. The front bead is acting as a pivot point. The Stock can move up, down, left and right and literally be aiming at anything other than the target. Whilst keeping the TARGET + BEAD + EYE in line to no avail. There is nothing aligning the rear of the gun to the front of the gun.
Your eye aligns it is what some people say! That is true if its in the correct position but how do you know if it is? You will know if it is or isn't after you take a shot but do you really want to be in that situation?
This LED Sight works like a front and rear Sight, but in a single body. The Sight picture is a perfect circle when looking axially into the Sight. If your gun is not mounted correctly the Sight picture can't be seen. If you can see the Sight Picture you have a good gun mount. You know with confidence that what the Sight Picture is superimposed on, the axis of the barrel will be coincident with it. That's because everything is coaxial. The bore the LED is in, is coaxial with the body of the Sight gun interface, which is coaxial with the shotgun barrel. With your Shotgun mounted, your LED Sight will show you when you have a perfect gun mount.
You position your gun until you see the full circle of light from inside the body of the Sight. You are always aware of your Alignment condition. Readjusting is instant, and you are always in control. Knowing you are "aligned" or "misaligned" is immediately obvious to you using the SGS-300 LED Sight. There is a visual difference from perfect alignment to a small rotation (off axis rotation). Perfectly aligned shows a full circle of light. Off axis and the circle changes to an ever-diminishing ellipse (please see illustration below). Also, as the shape changes from a circle to an ellipse, the image will get darker. The human eye can detect a mere 1% difference in light intensity so we have harnessed that attribute.
5. The SGS-300 enhances accuracy by having an internal collimating mechanism. There is an aperture stop at the rear and front of the Sight. When both are aligned, you know that when the dot is superimposed on the target, the barrel will be coaxial with the target also.
6. Your SGS-300 LED Sight is battery powered and has an extremely long operational use between charges.
Charging your Sight is simple. You can use your Smart Phone's charger (not supplied) with a USB type "C" lead (supplied), by plugin in it the charging port shown in the image below.
It takes approximately 1 hour 50 mins to fully charge a depleted battery. Whilst charging, a red flashing light will be seen on the opposite side of the charging port. When fully charged, the red light will stop flashing and continually illuminate.
Pull the "C" lead out of the Sight and you are ready to go.
From a fully charged battery, in high intensity mod, the battery will deplete in approximately 40 hours of continuous use.
From a fully charged battery, in low intensity mod, the power will deplete in approximately 80 hours of continuous use.
The battery is a Lithium High Capacity 550mWh which serves the very low current demand of the LED. As with all Lithium battery's, there is a limit to how many times they can be recharged.
To ensure the very highest reliability in use, as mentioned, the battery and electronics are potted / fully encapsulated in silicone rubber to protect against the shock loads of gun fire and ingress of dust and water. As a consequence the battery can not be replaced, however, the Sight potentially has a lifetime use of 1200 charges of 40 hours per charge = 48,000 hours at high intensity mode. 96,000 hours at low intensity.
7. A Picatinny Rail interface with some awesome attributes
The 20mm Picatinny / Weaver Quick Release Quick Detach Base Mount has some pretty awesome features that can best be explained in the movie below. Please note, the movie shows the SGS-200 Sight but the picatinny mount is exactly the same as supplied with the SGS-300.
Our recommended way of using this Sight
Mount your gun and hard focus on the Sight Picture, positioning your gun until you see a full circle light, this indicates your gun is aligned.
Now, do not hard focus on your Sight anymore. Hard focus on your Target, or at the distance you know the target will be. This is critical. You only need to be "AWARE" of the Sight Picture in your “SECONDARY” vision.
"BOTH EYES" must be open all the time, when the Sight Picture in your "SECONDARY" vision is on the Target, you know the gun barrel axis is looking at the target also because the Sight and Gun barrel are coaxial.
With both eyes open, you gave yourself:
- The maximum situation awareness (horizontal and vertical field of view).
- You gave yourself Stereoscopic vision which gives you the ability to judge speed.
- It also gives you the ability to judge distance.
Being able to judge Speed and Distance is imperative in order to consistently hit moving targets. It only works when both eyes are open!
